Our Migraine-Inducing Bathroom Floor

Yeah, so when I sit for my, uh, morning constitutional this is what I look at.  These inch and a quarter hexagons are what I see every morning, and when you look at them-even for only a few seconds- then look anywhere else in the small room you can see the pattern on every surface.  My migraines are random and I've yet to determine a single trigger, but these certainly come close.  Mind you, it's not worth breaking the lease, and I've come to accept things as they are. "Don't look at the floor," you say.  "Look somewhere else," you add.  Easier said than done.  It's like that accident thing- I can't not look at it.  Life goes on.

    1. If I was younger I might enjoy that, but these days things are different. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Someone paid good money for those tiles. Get a bathroom rug?

    1. Yeah, we had that thought. For now I'll just stick with the struggle to not look at it.

  3. I like the Honeycomb Vintage Tile in Bathrooms but only in White, since for some reason the Black is Trippy. I like Black Design Elements, but only if it doesn't cause the Eye to be unable to Rest. Staring at that pix alone made me see double in seconds! *LOL*

    1. What's real fun is closing my eyes after looking at it even briefly. The pattern stays on my eyelids forever.

  4. Interesting pattern, confuses the eyes for sure. A rug would be my solution because I wouldn't want to look at that pattern many times during the day. Have a wonderful week.

    1. Thanks Bill, but the rug's not an option. With the exception of a small bath mat at the shower the wife despises rugs of any sort in a bathroom.

  5. Get a really big bathroom rug to go on the floor. Problem solved.

    1. You know, Mary, I think my eyes would still be drawn to the tile exposed around the edges. Great idea, but as I told Bill above, rugs in a bathroom are a no no.

  6. I think Mary has the right idea but if you are like me then you will still stare at it because you can. Good luck.

  7. Well, darn. I was going to suggest a rug, too, or even carpet squares to hide every bit. Hmmm... Hey! How about flooring remnants you can put down temporarily? :P

    1. Another good idea that won't happen, but thanks, Darla. The wife can't stand carpet of any kind in a bathroom. Besides, I'm used to it.

  8. In addition, this particular kind of flooring is even more durable than hardwood floors. These surfaces are made from compressed cork oak trees and are naturally antimicrobial and even antifungal. These factors allow cork tiles to reduce allergens and increase the cleanliness of certain rooms. carrelage effet parquet
